The Gwaun Valley Meats Story
The foundations of Gwaun Valley Meats were laid when our proprietor, William Evans, was a young boy and spent his holidays on his uncle's farm in Llandeloy. During his time on the farm, Will developed a keen interest in farming and animal welfare. This interest naturally led to an apprenticeship in butchery, where Will mastered his trade and started a small charcuterie business. Eventually, Will moved to the Gwaun Valley, where he learned the traditional Pembrokeshire ways of curing bacon.
In 2006, Will and his family opened the doors of Gwaun Valley Meats in the village of Letterston. Our team of artisan butchers is dedicated to delivering the finest meat possible through skilled, artisan butchery. With a focus on one butcher to one beast and a goal of making every bite the best you've ever had, we have become the go-to butcher for meat lovers in Pembrokeshire and beyond.
