Knightwick Master Butchers is a family-owned independent business, run by father and son, John and Mark Champen. The family has a long history in the meat industry, with John having started his career in a local abattoir after leaving school. He worked his way up the ranks, learning the importance of animal welfare and stress-free environments for the animals. Mark, who joined John on his market rounds as a child, learned the trade from his father and eventually helped John and his son Mark establish the current business.
