The Picture Framer

Established by David Meadowcroft, a second-generation picture framer with over 20 years of expertise, our workshop near Wargrave combines traditional craftsmanship with modern techniques. I honed my skills working in my father's Colchester framing shop and later at Century Framing in Twyford, where I developed a deep understanding of restoration and conservation framing. My career also includes a role at Daler-Rowney, the UK's largest manufacturer of artists' materials, where I contributed to product and brand development. We specialise in creating bespoke frames that enhance and protect artwork, offering a wide range of classic and contemporary designs to suit all budgets. Our commitment to quality is reflected in our use of premium materials, including high-tech conservation glass that ensures long-term preservation.

With a focus on precision and creativity, we provide tailored solutions for framing art, prints, posters, and photographs. Our services extend to professional art restoration, including oil and watercolour paintings, ornate frames, and photographs, executed to museum standards. Located in Wargrave, Berkshire, we serve clients across Berkshire, Oxfordshire, and surrounding areas, offering appointments to ensure dedicated, personalised service. By maintaining competitive pricing without compromising on quality, we aim to make expert framing accessible to all. My team and I take pride in delivering results that reflect both the artwork's value and the client's vision.
