Come for the food, stay for the welcome.
The Vinehouse Cafe is a family-run, independent eatery nestled within the picturesque Helmsley Walled Garden in North Yorkshire. Our sister and brother team, Mollie and Sam Chapman, took over the cafe in April 2015 with a passion to serve fresh, quality food that celebrates the beauty of the Walled Garden. We're proud to have been voted Visit England's Visitor Experience Award winners in Yorkshire for the food and drink category in 2019.
Our Philosophy
At The Vinehouse Cafe, we're dedicated to providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere where customers can enjoy delicious, homemade food and drinks surrounded by the stunning gardens and castle views. Our menu is carefully crafted to showcase the freshest ingredients, often sourced from the Walled Garden itself. We're committed to supporting local suppliers and reducing our carbon footprint wherever possible. From hearty breakfasts to satisfying lunches and delicious afternoon treats, our dishes are made with love and care to ensure every bite is a delight.
