Sykeside Country House Hotel and Restaurant is a privately owned, family-run hotel situated in the heart of the Rossendale Valley. Our hotel is steeped in history, originally built in 1883 as a former mill owner's home before being renovated into a hotel and restaurant in 1989. We pride ourselves on offering the highest standards of comfort, ensuring your visit is a pleasant and enjoyable one.
Our Accommodation
Within our hotel, we have eight en-suite bedrooms, six of which are located on the first floor and two on the ground floor with ramp access and disabled parking at the side. Three of our bedrooms are of an executive standard, comprising of a sauna in room one, a spa bath in all executive bathrooms, and a four-poster bed in our bridal suite room three. All bedrooms come equipped with tea / coffee making facilities, free Wi-Fi, and Freeview digital television. Our facilities include eight en-suite double bedrooms, two of which are on the ground floor and one which is suitable for a family, free Wi-Fi, food available Monday to Saturday evenings, tea/coffee making facilities in bedrooms, complimentary bath and shower toiletries, large car park, disabled car parking, ramp access, and bedroom, outside smoking area, and early check-in and late check-out available upon request.
Dining at Sykeside
Our Riding's Restaurant serves an excellent variety of traditional home-cooked food, with both a relaxing and intimate atmosphere and dining available in the dining room and the conservatory. The restaurant menu changes on a monthly basis, providing a wide range of choices to suit many tastes. Both the conservatory and the dining room are also available for private dining events from awards evenings to birthdays, club luncheons to anniversaries. Our restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, with afternoon tea and mini afternoon tea available, and we also offer a midweek lunch and early bird menu.
Afternoon Tea and Private Dining
Our Afternoon Tea is a delightful experience, with a selection of finger sandwiches, scones, and sweet treats, all served with a pot of tea. We also offer a mini afternoon tea and a children's afternoon tea. Our private dining rooms are available for special occasions, weddings, birthdays, and corporate events, and our chef can create a bespoke menu to suit your needs.
