Nestled in the picturesque village of Portinscale, surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the Lake District National Park, Powe House is a 4-star Gold accredited accommodation that offers a warm and welcoming haven for its guests. Our guesthouse is perfectly situated for exploring the northern, central, and western lakes, with stunning views of Skiddaw mountain and the surrounding countryside.

Our Accommodation

Every room at Powe House is individually presented and furnished to a very high standard. Each room features modern facilities, including free WiFi, LCD television, DVD player, and freeview. Enjoy Fairtrade tea and coffee making facilities, Tassimo coffee machine, and en-suite bathrooms with L'Occitane bathroom products. Relax in comfort with a hairdryer, alarm clock, and hairdryer.

Choose from five stylishly decorated rooms, each with its own unique character:

• Room 1: A ground-floor twin room with a view of Skiddaw and direct access to a seating area in the garden.
• Room 2: A double room with a view of Skiddaw and a king-size bed.
• Room 3: A double room at the front of the house overlooking the village lane and front gardens.
• Room 4: A compact single with an en-suite wet room and a view of the front gardens and village lane.
• Room 5: A large double room at the front of the house overlooking the village lane and front gardens.

Location

Portinscale village is just a mile from the bustling town of Keswick, with its many shops, cafes, and restaurants. Our guesthouse is situated on the banks of Derwentwater, with the Keswick Launch landing at one of the nearby marinas. The village boasts two eateries, including The Farmers Arms, just 70 metres from our front door.

Tariff

All prices are per night, based on two people sharing (excluding the single room). A non-returnable deposit of 60 per room is required to secure the room when booking. Reservations can be made over the phone or online. Please note that due to high demand for rooms, we operate a minimum 2-night stay and a minimum 3-night stay for Bank Holidays. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

• If you cancel more than a week in advance, there is no charge other than the 60 deposit.
• If you cancel within a week but more than 48 hours in advance, we would ask for half payment.
• If you cancel within 48 hours, we would ask for full payment. However, we will always try to re-let the room, and if we are successful, we do not charge the cancellation fee (bar the 60 deposit).
