The Ultimate Setting: Bridgeview Station
Welcome to Bridgeview Station, a Scottish restaurant that calls Dundee's picturesque waterfront its home. Nestled in close proximity to the V&A Museum and overlooking the historic River Tay, our establishment resides within an iconic Victorian Station, offering a breathtaking view that is unparalleled in the city. At Bridgeview Station, we are proud to set a new standard for casual dining, serving only the finest local and seasonal produce that Scotland has to offer. If you're searching for a dining experience that is truly unique, you've come to the right place.
A Landmark Destination
Bridgeview Station is more than just a restaurant; it's a landmark destination. Designed to mirror the original structure of Dundee's old Magdalen Green Station, our building was constructed over a six-year period using local skilled tradesmen. Today, it stands as a testament to the city's rich heritage, boasting many individual features and an 1870's railway carriage, which was operational during the period of Dundee's infamous Railway Bridge Disaster. This carriage now serves as our takeaway outlet, providing a convenient option for those who wish to enjoy our delicious food on the go.
Our Philosophy: Fresh, Local, and Exceptional
At Bridgeview Station, we believe in showcasing the very best of Tayside's local produce. We take great pride in supporting independent suppliers and small-scale farmers, and our kitchen philosophy reflects our commitment to using only the freshest, locally sourced ingredients. Our menu offerings are a harmonious blend of precision techniques borrowed from fine dining and the simplicity of everyday cuisine, resulting in dishes that are both innovative and familiar.
Our Chef: Rory
Our talented and experienced Head Chef, Rory, oversees all menu activity at Bridgeview Station. With an impressive background that includes working with esteemed chefs such as Tony Heath and Willie Dean, as well as maintaining the 2AA accolades at 2AA Opus One Restaurant in Perth, Rory brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our kitchen. His dedication to refining and perfecting our a la carte dishes has earned him numerous accolades, including the 2014 Medaille d'Argent, the 2013 Rising Star Young Chef of the Year, and the 2013 Best Fine Dining Restaurant in Scotland.
From the Press
Bridgeview Station has received rave reviews from some of the industry's most respected critics and bloggers. Joanna Blythman of The Herald hailed us as a "steal, " while Emma Eats of Emma Eats praised our establishment as a "gem of a place with really good food at really good prices." Phil's Food World echoed this sentiment, stating that Bridgeview Station is "worth your hard-earned cash" regardless of whether you're a local or a visitor.
