About Me

Hi, I'm Alastair Else, the master craftsman behind Else Made. I got my first taste of upholstery at the age of 17 while studying Antique furniture restoration at the Isle college in Wisbech. I found that I enjoyed upholstering chairs more than any other aspect of the course, and I spent nearly four years as a Coach Trimmer working for one of the largest bus companies in the UK. After an accident and a resulting illness, I realised that I wanted to do more with my life.

Over the past 15 years, I have upholstered and repaired classic cars, boats, caravans, bar seating, lounge suites, recliners, foot stools, motorbikes, headboards, bar panels, RV's, tub chairs, office chairs, vans, aeroplanes, coaches, and buses. I have personally repaired, re-covered, and re-designed over 1000 seats in the past five years alone, and I take pride in providing a fantastic service to each and every one of my customers.
