Elm Nursery is a family-run business that has been a part of the Sutton Green community for over 30 years. We take pride in being a unique destination that offers a variety of services, including a children's farm, plant nursery, gift shop, cafe, and pet boarding facilities. Our mission is to provide a fun and educational experience for children and adults alike, while also promoting a love for nature and the outdoors.
A Brief History
Our journey began over three decades ago, when Rita, Emma, and Katie, a family trio, decided to turn their passion for nature and animals into a business. Over the years, we have grown and adapted to the changing needs of our community, but our core values of providing a warm and welcoming environment have remained the same.
Our Services
At Elm Nursery, we offer a range of services that cater to different interests and ages. Our children's farm is open every day from 10am to 3:30pm, and is home to a wide range of animals, including alpacas, goats, Shetland ponies, pigs, ducks, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs. Visitors can interact with the animals, and even feed them with food available for purchase.
Our plant nursery is stocked with high-quality, British-grown plants, and is open every day from 10am to 4pm. We are particularly famous for our hanging baskets, which are carefully crafted to provide a beautiful display of colors and textures. Our knowledgeable staff are always happy to offer advice and guidance on plant care and maintenance.
The gift shop at Elm Nursery is a treasure trove of unique gifts and cards, and is open every day from 10am to 4pm. We also stock a range of foodie treats from The Garlic Farm, which are perfect for sampling or gifting.
Elm Farm Cafe, our independently run cafe, serves homemade lunches, light bites, cakes, and coffee, and is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9am to 3:30pm. Our menu features a range of delicious options, including freshly made sandwiches, toasties, and wraps, as well as a popular 'Little Farmers' lunch box for children.
We also offer school visits, pet boarding facilities, and private party areas for hire, making us the perfect destination for families, schools, and groups.
