At First Adventures Nursery, we believe in the importance of working in partnership with parents and we encourage both parents and children to regard the nursery as an extension of the family home. Our care and education provision gives children the very best start and helps our parents balance family and working life.

Highly Qualified Staff
Our team of highly qualified and dedicated staff is committed to providing the best possible care and education to our children. We have a qualified teacher with an additional post-graduate qualification in preschool education who leads our team of experienced and skilled practitioners. We believe that our staff are our greatest asset, and we invest in their continuous professional development to ensure that they have the knowledge, skills, and expertise to provide the highest quality of care and education to our children.
Secure Gardens and extensive outdoor play areas
Our nursery is set in two attractive, secure buildings linked together by extensive gardens and play areas. We believe that outdoor play is essential for children's physical, emotional, and social development, and our extensive gardens and play areas provide ample opportunities for children to explore, learn and have fun in a safe and secure environment.
Quality Assured
First Adventures has achieved an excellent record over several years of annual inspections carried out by HMIe, the Care Inspectorate, and West Lothian Education Authority. We are a member of the National Day Nurseries Association, an Eco School, and are a breastfeeding-friendly nursery. We are committed to continuous improvement and are always looking for ways to enhance our provision and improve the outcomes for our children.
Government Funding Support
We are in partnership with West Lothian Council to provide funded preschool education for 3 - 5-year-olds. We believe that every child has the right to high-quality early years education, and we are committed to working with the local authority to provide this provision to as many families as possible.
Nursery Experience
First Adventures has been a delight for Daniel Garcia's family, with their daughter and parents all thoroughly enjoying their time at the nursery. The nursery boasts a unique setting, with ample outdoor space for children to explore and learn through play, while the indoor area offers a wide range of activities to keep little minds engaged. The focus on self-confidence is particularly noteworthy, with the staff using a nurturing approach to help children develop important skills.
Personal Touch
The staff at First Adventures go above and beyond to create a warm and welcoming environment. They are kind, helpful, and dedicated to finding new and exciting activities to keep the children engaged. The personal touch extends to organizing special outings and events, such as trips to nearby attractions, like the library and Tesco, as well as more unique experiences like making apple cider, growing vegetables, or watching ducklings hatch.
