Protecting our Heritage, Preserving the Future

Welcome to Touchstone Windows, the premier choice for bespoke glazing solutions for historic and listed buildings. With over 25 years of experience in the craft of stained glass and a profound knowledge of what is crucial to make a good window, we have developed innovative products that offer unique solutions for thermally efficient windows, doors, and roof-lights.

Our journey began with a passion for developing and manufacturing innovative products that not only protect the fabric of historic and listed buildings but also look nearly indistinguishable from the original while offering the best in thermal efficiency. Our glazing solutions have been accepted by Historic England in Grade II, II*, and Grade I listed buildings, and we take pride in offering a bespoke solution for architects, homeowners, and conservation officers alike.

Our Unique Glazing Solutions

Our patented Insulead glazing system and Steelyte opening casements were designed specifically to overcome the problem of double glazing windows in a heritage and listed building situation. Our Insulead fixed units use a perimeter edging made of lead, which is fully soldered at the joints, making them perfect for listed buildings and heritage sites. Our Steelyte opening casements, made from stainless steel, are designed and manufactured in-house and are effectively maintenance-free. We also design and manufacture bespoke stainless steel doors that offer minimum sight-lines and the highest in thermal efficiency.
