Our Story

Formed in 1899 and originally located a mile or so to the north, our club moved to our current location in 1963 to make way for the development of Prestwick Airport. The story of Prestwick St Cuthbert is nothing short of remarkable. From its auspicious opening with an exhibition match between golfing legends John Panton, Eric Brown, Dai Rees, and Peter Alliss, to its current status as one of the most popular parkland courses in Scotland, this course has truly come of age.

Over the years, our club has undergone significant developments. Thousands of trees have been planted, many of which have reached maturity and now provide a beautiful, verdant backdrop to the course. With clever mounding and design touches, the course has acquired an attractive character that is both challenging and enjoyable for golfers of all levels.
