At Milford Pre-School Plus, we are dedicated to providing high-quality childcare and early education services to children in Milford-on-Sea and surrounding areas. Our team of experienced and qualified practitioners strive to create a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters a deep love of learning and prepares children for the next stage of their educational journey.
Our Story
Established as a charity-run organisation, our pre-school is set on the grounds of Milford-on-Sea Primary School, although we operate separately to the school. We have a fantastic team of nursery practitioners, many of whom have been with us for over 20 years, who have a wealth of experience ranging from Qualified Teacher Status and Level 6 to Level 2. We have three intakes throughout the year and accept children from the age of 2 years and 9 months. We also accept the 15 hour government funding and tax-free childcare.
Our Services
We offer a range of services designed to cater to the needs of children and their families. Our pre-school provides a warm and welcoming environment for children to learn and grow, with a focus on child-centered learning and a curriculum that is tailored to meet the needs of each individual child. Our after-school club provides a safe and engaging environment for children to relax and have fun, with a healthy snack provided and a range of activities to choose from. Our holiday club offers an exciting and engaging program of activities, including art and craft days, sports and outdoor activities, and baking, among others.
Our Team
Our team of practitioners and play workers are experienced and qualified, with a wealth of knowledge and expertise in childcare and early education. Our team is led by our Pre-School Manager, Sarah Rix, who has a Level 6 qualification and is also a Level 3 Forest School Teacher. Our Deputy Manager, Sheila Cooper, has a Level 3 qualification and is also our SENCO. We have a range of other practitioners and assistants who are dedicated to providing the highest quality care and education to our children.
