Our school is located at the North end of Southport, set on a large, secure green site, catering to over 300 pupils between the ages of 4 and 11. We are deeply committed to providing a stimulating, challenging, and nurturing environment where every child can thrive. Our mission is to ensure that 'For all our children to enjoy successful learning in a safe and happy environment.' We strive to develop well-educated, confident, and resilient members of the community, who are well-prepared for the next stage of their education and life in modern Britain.

Our School

Our school is a remarkable place, where children are proud to attend and demonstrate high standards of work, behaviour, and appearance. Our dedicated teaching and support staff are a team of committed and talented professionals, who work tirelessly to ensure that every pupil achieves their potential. Together with our parents, we are proud to have created a happy, hardworking, and inclusive learning community.

Our Pupils

At Larkfield Primary School, our pupils are happy, safe, and have many friends. The pupils we spoke to said that they enjoy attending school and feel secure in their learning environment. Staff and pupils alike are proud of the school's ethos, which prioritises helping everyone. Parents and carers recognise this too, as evident in the positive feedback we have received from OFSTED in March 2020, which states, "Pupils at Larkfield Primary School are happy. The pupils that we spoke to said that they have lots of friends and that they feel safe. Staff and pupils are proud that the school helps everyone. Parents and carers recognise this too."

Our Community

Our community is at the heart of everything we do. We work closely with parents, carers, and local stakeholders to ensure that our school is a central hub of activity, learning, and development. We offer a range of services, including a breakfast club, after-school club, and opportunities to train to teach at Larkfield. We are proud of the diverse range of extra-curricular activities we offer, including athletics, basketball, boccia, dance, football, futsal, handball, netball, New Age Kurling, Parent & Progeny fitness, swimming, table tennis, tennis, tag rugby, and more.

Curriculum

Our curriculum is designed to provide a stimulating and challenging learning environment, which promotes British values and prepares our pupils for life in modern Britain. We offer a broad and balanced curriculum, which includes English, Reading, Writing, Spanish, Mathematics, Science, History, Computing, Physical Education, Geography, Design & Technology, Music, Religious Education, and PSHE. Our curriculum is tailored to the needs of every child, and we are proud of the progress our pupils make during their time at Larkfield.
