Our Story
At Stoney End, we pride ourselves on offering a unique and unforgettable experience for our guests. Our Grade 2 Listed barn conversion dates back to the seventeenth century and was originally designed to serve as a barn for the neighboring farmhouse. In 1990, we converted the building into a luxurious self-catering cottage, blending its rich history with modern comforts. Today, we welcome visitors to stay with us, enjoying the peace and tranquility of our secluded location in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Our Accommodation
Our self-catering cottage, Stoney End Cottage, is situated in the tiny hamlet of Worton, near Askrigg, in the heart of Wensleydale. With stunning views across the River Ure and over the fells towards Swaledale, this charming stone cottage offers cozy and comfortable accommodation for up to four people.
Amenities
Our cottage is well-equipped to provide a comfortable stay. The open-plan living area features a multi-fuel stove, dining area, and a compact but extremely well-equipped kitchen. The two bedrooms consist of a double room with a five-foot bed and a twin room with two three-foot beds. The bathroom features a wet room with a toilet, hand basin, and shower.
