Axholme Quilting, originally established as Helen's Houses in 2009, is a thriving business based in Doncaster, UK. Starting off as a small operation, Axholme Quilting swiftly expanded and opened their renowned patchwork and quilting store located in Adwick le Street in 2010. Our specialty lies in providing an extensive variety of fabric collections, dedicated primarily for quilting, from highly respected brands including Moda, Makower, and Fabric Freedom.

In late 2012, Axholme Quilting started selling an exclusive selection of Husqvarna Viking sewing machines. The subsequent year, 2015, witnessed the introduction of a full range of sewing cabinets from the reputable brand, Horn. Progressing further in 2017, Axholme Quilting pioneered quilting fabric subscriptions, making us one of the first fabric stores to offer this service in the UK.

2. Husqvarna Viking Sewing Machines: We are proud to offer an exquisite selection of Husqvarna Viking sewing machines. These machines align with the needs of sewing enthusiasts, enabling them to craft their creations with ease and precision.

3. Sewing Cabinets from Horn: Axholme Quilting provides a comprehensive range of sewing cabinets from Horn. These sturdy, durable and functional sewing stations are designed to help seamstresses create their masterpieces in comfort.

4. Quilting Fabric Subscriptions: As one of the early adopters of this service in the UK, we offer quilting fabric subscriptions. This convenient service allows quilting enthusiasts to regularly receive batches of fabrics tailored to their specific requirements and creative pursuits.

Standard Orders and Shipping

Axholme Quilting offers free postage on all UK orders amounting to 15.00 or more. Alternatively, a flat rate of 1.89 is applicable for orders below this threshold. We use either Royal Mail Second Class or Evri for domestic deliveries. Orders are dispatched on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, and postage can be upgraded to Royal Mail First Class for an additional 2.89 per order.

For orders placed outside the UK, it is essential to contact us prior to placing the order, as we may not be capable of fulfilling orders to all destinations. Overseas postage rates vary depending on the location and the items purchased. Shipping costs for subscription boxes are addressed separately on the subscription quilting boxes page.

Sewing Machine Orders

Axholme Quilting provides free shipping for sewing machines. These orders are dispatched directly by Husqvarna Viking and take 1-2 weeks for delivery. Please note that we currently ship sewing machines exclusively within the United Kingdom.

Returns and Refunds

If, for any reason, you are dissatisfied with your purchase, you can return it to Axholme Quilting within the seven working days beginning the day after the delivery date. The item must be in its original condition, accompanied by a proof of posting. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept returns of fabric cut to specific requirements. If the item is damaged, defective, or delivered in error, please contact us for further instructions.
