At BCOM, we take pride in our unique naturopathic approach to osteopathy, which emphasizes the body's innate ability to heal itself. Our approach is based on the principles of osteopathy established by its founder, Andrew Taylor Still, who believed that the body was a single, integrated unit, and that structural and mechanical imbalances could have a profound impact on its overall function.

Our Courses: Focused on Excellence in Osteopathic Medicine

Our courses are focused on the education and training of safe, competent, and efficient practitioners of osteopathic medicine. Our Master of Osteopathy (MOst) and BSc (Hons) Osteopathy degrees are fully recognized by the General Osteopathic Council and are quality assured by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education.

The MOst is a four-year undergraduate degree program, validated by the University of Plymouth, designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in osteopathic medicine. The course is structured to enable students to develop a deep understanding of anatomy, physiology, and osteopathic principles and techniques. Students will also gain extensive clinical experience, working under supervision in a professional clinical environment seeing a diverse range of patients.

Our BSc (Hons) Osteopathy degree is a modified attendance degree, designed for students combining studying osteopathy with work or family commitments. This flexible learning approach allows students to balance their studies with other responsibilities, while still receiving the highest quality osteopathic education and training.

Our Clinic: A Centre of Excellence for Osteopathic Care

Our on-site teaching clinic is a centre of excellence for osteopathic care, providing a wide range of treatments for patients with musculoskeletal conditions. Our clinic is staffed by experienced and highly qualified osteopaths, who work under the supervision of our clinic tutors.

Our clinic offers a wide range of health screening services, including fitness assessments, body composition analysis, muscle strength and power assessment, aerobic fitness assessment, resting metabolic rate assessment, lung function testing, and bone scan assessment. We also offer specialist clinics, such as our women's health clinic and our sports injury clinic.
