Robert Rhys is a esteemed Chartered Surveyor with a focus on rural practice, also known as a land agent. His office is situated in a transformed building in the village of Charlton Mackrell, near Somerton in south Somerset. From this location, the Practice is able to provide clients with assistance in a wide range of rural estate management and some more specialist land agency matters. The Practice's compact structure allows for a discreet and bespoke service that is independent of larger practice constraints.

One of Robert Rhys' specialisms is in assisting clients with planning applications for rural workers' dwellings. This has led him to work across fifteen counties of England. Robert Rhys is a full member of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers.

Robert Rhys has spent the majority of his working life in the West Country. He has accumulated many years post qualification experience as an agricultural and rural practice chartered surveyor and land agent. Robert studied rural estate management at the Royal Agricultural College (now University), Cirencester, in the early 1980s. Following a period of time working on farms in Australia and New Zealand and travelling across America, Robert initially worked in Essex and then returned to the South West to pursue his career. Since qualification with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1990, and fellowship of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers in 1992, he continued to build up his experience with a firm of chartered surveyors in Somerset. After a period of employment in Cheshire, Robert set up his land agency practice in 2000. Having commenced from home, Robert took a lease of a converted farm premises in 2002. Subsequently, a redundant building was acquired in the village of Charlton Mackrell near Somerton which he converted for offices in 2005.

For a number of years Robert represented the Western Counties branch of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers on it's Council and then joined the CAAV's Property Committee, becoming it's Chairman in 2011. During 2015/16 Robert served as Chairman of the Western Counties Agricultural Valuers Association. Robert is married with two children and enjoys country pursuits. The client base has gradually been built up over the years with regular repeat business as part of a long term relationship with clients.
