The hotel is a lovely 30-bed old building located in Swanage, with large windows overlooking the sea and Swanage beach. It is very local to Swanage centre, with sand beach, restaurants, and independent shops nearby. The hotel has a hilly location, with tarmac roads and pavements, but it can be challenging for those with mobility issues.
Rooms and Amenities
The rooms are modern, tasteful, and clean, with lovely sea views. Amenities include walk-in showers, toilets, flat-screen TVs, free WiFi, ironing boards, fans, hairdryers, kettles, and phones. The rooms are quiet, with plenty of hangers for clothes and wall plugs.
Food and Drinks
The hotel offers a breakfast buffet with a variety of options, including apple and orange juice, water, teas, coffee, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, and pastries. However, some guests were disappointed with the cooked breakfast, finding the poached eggs rubbery and the mushrooms tasting like tinned mushrooms.
Staff and Service
The staff are very friendly and welcoming, with excellent service. They are happy to help with any queries or requests and provide recommendations for local activities and parking.
Location and Parking
The hotel is located in the heart of Swanage, with beautiful views of the sea and beach. Parking is limited, but the staff recommend checking the hotel carpark first and then exploring nearby roads for free spaces.
Spa Facilities
Some guests were disappointed with the spa facilities, finding them small, cold, and dirty.
