Our Self-Contained Apartment
Montagu Steps is our self-contained apartment that sleeps up to 6 people, featuring a combination of a King room, sea view double room, and twin room. Situated directly above Grunta beach, the apartment offers stunning views of Woolacombe's award-winning beach and Lundy Island. The modern apartment comes with a range of amenities, including a fridge freezer, washing machine, and ironing facilities, making it the perfect place to stay for a holiday with all the comforts of home.
Our History
Lundy House Hotel was built as an Edwardian gentleman's residence before being converted into a hotel. With only a few owners over the years, the hotel has been in the same hands for 26 years, operating 8 boutique rooms and a 3-bedroomed self-catering apartment. Over the years, we have made subtle changes and improvements, including adding balconies to some rooms and investing heavily in the hotel in 2018 to provide parking for 10 cars.

Lundy House Hotel is situated close to a number of world-famous beaches, including Woolacombe Barricane beach, Grunta beach, and Combesgate beach. Our hotel is also surrounded by beautiful National Trust preserved land, offering endless routes for exploring this stunning coastal area. Take a trip to Lundy Island, located just 11 miles off the coast of Devon, where you can try rock climbing, birdwatching, and rambling.
