He opened his own fruit and veg shop in Kenton, building a strong customer base, and soon started supplying potatoes to fish and chip shops around the south west country. As the business grew, Philip identified an opportunity to offer a service repairing, servicing, and re-gritting customer's potato peelers and chippers.
