Roman Camp Caravan Park

Roman Camp Caravan Park is a family-run business located in the picturesque village of West Runton, nestled in the heart of north Norfolk. Resident proprietors, Mr and Mrs J N Julian, welcome visitors with a warm and friendly disposition, ensuring a pleasant and enjoyable stay for all. With a 9-month season, from 1st March to 30th November, guests have the opportunity to experience the beauty of the park and its surrounding areas in various seasons. WiFi is available on-site, allowing guests to stay connected during their stay.

Our Location

Our park is situated in the highest part of Norfolk, standing at approximately 102 metres above sea level. The area boasts stunning scenic views and countless opportunities for peaceful walks. The charming village of West Runton has all the necessary shops for immediate needs, such as a grocery, post office, newsagent, greengrocer, butcher, hairdresser, garage, and camping shop. For dining options, the Village Inn serves excellent food and ale, while the Dormy House and Pepperpot restaurants are also excellent choices.

Roman Camp Caravan Park is ideally situated midway between Cromer and Sheringham, two bustling coastal towns that offer a variety of entertainment. We are only a mile away from buses and trains, making it easy for guests to travel to nearby attractions. The sea is also just a mile away, providing beautiful views and the opportunity for various seaside activities.

North Norfolk and its immediate area are full of exciting places to visit, including the historic towns of Cromer, Sheringham, Aylsham, Holt, and Norwich. The area is also home to many National Trust and English Heritage sites, such as the West Runton National Trust Park, which is well-known for its lovely walks and stunning views across the park and to the sea. Other nearby attractions include the Norfolk Broads, various beaches, and Roman Camp Caravan Park is closely located to the Queen's Estate at Sandringham.

Holiday Chalets

Our charming holiday chalets cater to those looking for a peaceful retreat in a charming countryside setting. Each of our three chalets has an open-plan living room/kitchen, two bedrooms, and a bathroom with a shower, washbasin, and toilet. Electric heaters, refrigerators, cookers, microwaves, and televisions are also provided, ensuring a comfortable and hassle-free stay for all of our guests.

Caravan Park

Our caravan park covers approximately 10 acres and is surrounded by National Trust woodlands, providing a tranquil and secluded environment. We pride ourselves on the peaceful and quiet atmosphere of the park, ensuring a relaxing stay for all of our guests.
