Our History

The history of Fearon & Co dates back to the early nineteenth century and in particular to 1820 when John Peter Fearon began his legal training at the age of sixteen. He was articled to his mother's cousin, John Clutton, and soon established a reputation for his legal expertise and dedication. Over the years, he acted for a diverse range of clients, including the Meuse and Sambre railway in Belgium and the Attorney General in Charity Affairs. He was also responsible for drafting new Charters for prestigious institutions such as New College, Oxford and St Cross, Winchester. His legacy of excellence and commitment to the law has been passed down through generations, forming the foundation of Fearon & Co's respected standing in the legal profession today.
