GWF Engineering Ltd, a distinguished name in the engineering industry, was established in 1965. Over the past 50 years, we have been dedicatedly serving various sectors with our unparalleled expertise in machining and fabrication solutions. Based in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, our manufacturing facility is strategically located near the UK Motorway network and the Humber Ports, enabling easy transportation of large abnormal loads.

Our 35,000 sq.ft. workshop facilities are equipped with overhead craneage of 40T single lift and machining capabilities of up to 5.6m diameter. We take pride in our highly trained, skilled workforce of craftsmen who are integral to our commitment to maintain the high standards of service. Our proactive succession policy focuses on recruiting and training apprentices in all our core disciplines, safeguarding the future of our operations.

Facilities & Services

Our manufacturing facility is divided into three main bays for fabrication, amounting to 18,000 sq.ft. and serviced by overhead cranes with a capacity of up to 40T single lift. We offer a broad spectrum of services including:

• Large Machining: Our first machine shop specialises in large machining with a capacity of 2m - 5.6m diameter.

• Small Machining: Our second machine shop is equipped to handle small machining operations with a capacity of less than 1.8m.

• CNC Shop: Our third machine shop houses CNC Lathes and Machining Centres, providing high precision machining services.

We also provide general sub-contract machining and fabrication services according to customer-supplied drawings. Our expertise extends to design and build projects where we employ coded welders and work to various standards such as BS EN15614, BS EN ISO 9606, and ASME IX.

At GWF Engineering Ltd, we have an in-house rolling, pressing, and CNC Profiling department, enabling us to minimise subcontracting work and maximise control over quality and delivery aspects.

Quality Assurance and Design & Innovation

We are committed to providing goods and services of the highest quality. Our Quality Assurance Management System adheres to BS EN ISO 9001:2015, consistently audited by Lloyds Register of Quality Assurance. We are also certified to BS EN 1090-2:2018 for Execution Class 3, ensuring adherence to rigorous standards for all our projects.
