Established in 1994, The Fabric Shop is an independent, family-run retailer with two stores located in the heart of West Sussex; Worthing and Burgess Hill. For over two decades, we have been providing the local community with a wide array of dressmaking and craft fabrics, knitting yarns, haberdashery, sewing patterns, and soft furnishings. We are proud to offer one of Sussex's largest curtain galleries, showcasing a broad spectrum of major brands for our customers to choose from.
Fabrics We Sell
The Fabric Shop is dedicated to offering fabrics for all your projects. We sell fabrics from as little as 10cm, allowing you the flexibility to purchase only what you need. Amongst our vast selection of fabrics, you will find a diverse range of materials suitable for dressmaking and clothing, including cotton poplins, plain and printed linens, jersey and stretch fabrics, fleece, and furs. We also stock a wide variety of utility fabrics such as lightweight and heavyweight calico, cotton drill, white and unbleached muslin, hessian scrim, voile denim, and wadding.
Sewing Patterns and Dressmaking Fabrics
If you're looking for a sewing pattern to pair with your fabric, look no further! We keep all major pattern brands in stock, so you can purchase all your sewing needs under one roof. Brands include Simplicity, Burda, New Look, and many more.
Haberdashery & Crafts
We carry the most comprehensive range of haberdashery in Sussex. Our needlecraft department includes a full range of Anchor tapestry wools and embroidery threads, a wide range of kits and embroidery fabrics, and a vast selection of paper craft materials, blank cards, and accessories.
Yarn Department
The Fabric Shop is your one-stop-shop for all your knitting and crochet needs. Our Worthing and Burgess Hill stores have spacious yarn departments with the latest brands available, including baby yarns, 4-ply, double knit, aran, chunky, and super chunky yarns. We also stock knitting needles, crochet hooks, and all the haberdashery items you may need.
Soft Furnishing Fabrics
At The Fabric Shop, we offer an extensive selection of soft furnishing fabrics, ideal for creating curtains, blinds, cushions, and more. Our range of fabrics includes plain and patterned, textured and smooth, light and heavy-weight, providing our customers with a wide array of options.
