Our Philosophy
At Namaste Kathmandu, our philosophy is to create a peaceful and romantic environment for all our customers. Our beautifully decorated dining areas are adorned with Nepalese souvenirs, creating a warm and cozy ambiance. Our main hall can accommodate up to 80 people, and we also have a private room that can accommodate up to 30 people, making us an ideal choice for parties and corporate events.

Our chefs have years of experience in cooking authentic Indian and Nepalese cuisine. Our dishes are prepared fresh daily using high-quality ingredients, and our menu is designed to cater to a wide range of tastes and preferences. From traditional dishes like Mo:Mo (steamed or fried dumplings filled with chicken or vegetables) to innovative fusion dishes like Sherpa's checha (chicken and cheese barbecued in a tandoor), our menu offers something for everyone.
Meet Our Master Chef
Our master chef, Bimal Basnet, has over 25 years of experience in the culinary industry. Born in Nepal, he has worked at some of the finest restaurants in India and Nepal, before joining Namaste Kathmandu. With a deep understanding of the mosaic of spices and flavors that define Indian and Nepalese cuisine, Bimal is dedicated to creating innovative dishes that showcase the best of both cultures. His dedication and passion for his craft has earned him a reputation as one of the most renowned chefs in Edinburgh.
