Potteries Auctions is an esteemed auction house situated in the heart of the Staffordshire Potteries, with two locations - our Silverdale Saleroom in Newcastle-Under-Lyme, and our Cobridge Saleroom on the outskirts of Cobridge city centre. Established in 1991, Potteries Auctions has earned a reputation as one of the leading UK auction houses specialising in 20th-century British pottery. We were the first auction house to focus on Royal Doulton and Beswick Pottery, and have achieved world record prices for Royal Doulton, Beswick and Carlton Ware items.

Our expertise extends beyond pottery, as we offer a wide range of other auction specialities that cater to diverse interests. These include paintings, prints and Fine Art, ephemera and books, jewellery, watches and timepieces, collectables, photography items, and more. Additionally, our Cobridge saleroom offers auctions for commercial, house clearance, commercial/office clearance, lost courier items, bankrupt and closing down sales, as well as 20th-century ceramics, furniture, and collectables.

Our Auctions

We hold monthly auctions at both of our sites - Silverdale and Cobridge - allowing bidders to participate online, in-person, or over the phone. For those interested in telephone bidding, booking with us in advance is necessary. Our auctions are preceded by viewing days that take place one or two days beforehand, with no appointment needed.

If you are seeking to consign with us, we offer valuation days each Tuesday at our Silverdale showroom and every Thursday at our Cobridge premises, where our friendly staff are available to value your items and provide advice on their potential success in our sales. If you are unable to attend one of our valuation days, home visits can be arranged by appointment. We also accept valuations via WhatsApp - simply send your images to 07864 667940.
