Where gardening meets inspiration
Welcome to Glendoick Garden Centre, an award-winning and independently owned family business. Established in 1953 by Euan and Peter Cox, our garden centre has grown to become a renowned destination for gardening enthusiasts, plant lovers, and those seeking a unique day out.
Our Story
The Cox family's story begins in Dundee, a port on the east coast of Scotland, where they were integral to the jute industry in the 19th and early 20th centuries. In 1899, Alfred Cox bought Glendoick House and estate, which was built in 1747. His son, Euan, founded the nursery in 1953, and his sons, Peter and Kenneth Cox, have continued the family's passion for horticulture.
