Nelson Quality Welders Ltd is a privately-owned welding company based in Nelson, Lancashire, with a rich history dating back to 1979. Our founder, Thomas Plummer, a former Rolls-Royce employee, had a vision to offer a specialist sub-contract welding service on products that demand maximum accountability in terms of quality controls. Since then, we have grown to become a leading provider of highly specialised, innovative, and cost-effective welding solutions to the aerospace industry.
Our Story
Situated in East Lancashire in the North West of England, we operate among the UK's premier cluster of aerospace manufacturers, service providers, and research institutions. For over 40 years, we have provided highly specialised welding solutions to some of the most dominant firms in the aerospace industry. Our extensive capabilities in aerospace applications are backed by key personnel possessing specialist knowledge and in-depth experience within the field of aero-engine technology.
Our Services
We offer a wide range of welding services, including manual and semi-automatic TIG welding and hardfacing operations on a wide range of gas turbine stator and rotor blade components, plus welding operations on various engine and airframe components. In addition to our aerospace services, we also provide more general TIG and MIG welding services to the commercial sector, as well as low and intermediate temperature flame brazing. Our services also extend to alloy wheel repair specialists, aluminium TIG welder/MIG welders, brazing services and flux brazing, extrusion die refurbishment/hard facing press, fabrications Burnley/steel fabrications, motorbike repairs and car welding repairs.
