Helm Pumps
Our Helm Pump range includes a variety of sizes to suit the output required. Additionally, we offer different types of Valves to meet the specific needs of our customers. The Neptune 80, Neptune 120, Tetra 150, Tetra 200, Tetra 250, Tetra 18, Tetra 37, Tetra 45, and S5 Helm Pumps are all available for viewing in our online catalogue.
Power Packs
Our Power Packs are hydraulic power units (HPUs) that serve as the prime mover for any powered steering system. They deliver oil to the system without the need for human effort, consisting of a hydraulic pump and related output control valves. Each pump is driven by either an electric motor or an engine-driven input. Our electrically driven Power Packs are available in various types, including 3 phase (50 or 60Hz), single phase, and DC (12 or 24v). The selection of a Power Pack depends on the type of steering controls required and the hydraulic circuits necessary to provide delivery of the control to the steering actuators. Systems requiring classification society approval form a significant part of our sales of Hydraulic Power Packs. Many systems include two separate Power Packs or one Power Pack with two motors that can be run from different supplies.
NEW Engine Driven Power Pack with a Pressure Compensated Pump
We have designed a new Engine Driven Power Pack with a Pressure Compensated Pump to increase efficiency and reduce heat in the steering gear. With a standard gear pump connected to the PTO, the oil flow fluctuates based on the engine RPM and constantly causes the pump to work harder. Our new design ensures that the pump maintains a consistent flow rate, reducing the strain on the engine and increasing efficiency.
