Overwhelmingly Negative Experience
The majority of the reviews are extremely dissatisfied with the restaurant, citing terrible service, inconsistent food quality, and poor communication. Two reviewers, Markseanfarrell and Usha P., specifically highlighted appalling service, with Markseanfarrell stating that the night was ruined due to a delayed food delivery, and Usha P. expressing frustration with the lack of timely delivery and cancellation of the order. Justin Jones also had a nightmare experience, complaining about unresponsive staff, a long wait, and a poor-quality curry.
Fleeting Moments of Satisfaction
However, some reviewers have had positive experiences. Joe Daniells praised the welcoming owner, amazing food, and excellent service. Allonnissos found the restaurant to be "quite a standard Indian restaurant" with good poppadums and onion Bhaji. Andy Clarke discovered the restaurant by accident and was impressed with the spotless interior, huge menu, and attentive staff. Common Issues
Abhishek Nigam, however, had a disappointing experience with a poor-tasting tandoori chicken. Jerry Weeks had a pleasant experience but noted that the restaurant could improve in some areas. It appears that the quality of food and service can be inconsistent at the Standard Tandoori.
