Explore, Learn, Enjoy: Discover the Hidden Gem of Havering

At Havering Museum, we are dedicated to telling the remarkable story of Havering from pre-history to the present day, celebrating the achievements of local people, and exploring how the areas that make up the Borough were formed and developed. Our museum is a community-driven initiative, led by a small group of local people, including librarians and historians, who were passionate about preserving the history of Havering. In 2008, we secured a Heritage Lottery Grant in partnership with the London Borough of Havering, which enabled us to bring our vision to life. Today, we are proud to be a completely volunteer-led organisation, with a dedicated team of volunteers who work tirelessly to ensure the museum's continued success.
