Welcome to Ben's Farm Shop, where good food meets good farming. Our story began over 40 years ago, when Ben started making sausages from pigs raised on the farm and selling them at Totnes market. Today, we have four thriving shops across Devon, where we proudly offer a wide range of high-quality, locally sourced products.
Our Philosophy
We believe that good food should have a story, and because we source our products directly from trusted farmers and growers, we can tell that story from field to fork. We're committed to environmentally sustainable farming practices, and we only work with suppliers who share our values. Our meat is organic or free range, and our vegetable and fruit selection is carefully curated to ensure that only the freshest, seasonal produce makes it to our shelves.
Our Services
At Ben's Farm Shop, we're not just a retail destination; we're a community hub where people come together to share their love of good food. Our experienced butchers offer bespoke meat preparation services, and our deli counters are stocked with an array of mouth-watering pies, pasties, salads, cakes, and dips, all made from scratch in our farm kitchen. We also offer a popular hot take-away lunch service, featuring our signature soup, pies, pasties, and sausage rolls.
Our Shops
We have four conveniently located shops across Devon, each one offering a unique shopping experience. Our Staverton shop is our original farm shop, where you'll find a traditional butcher's counter, a vibrant fruit and vegetable area, and a carefully curated selection of provisions, wine, and beer. Our Yealmpton shop was our first outpost, and it's seen a few changes over the years, all for the better. We've added a proper butcher's counter, and our newly revamped shop space stocks a full range of provisions, drinks, dairy, and fish products. Our Exeter shop brings the farm shop experience to the city, featuring a traditional butcher's counter, organic fruit and vegetables from Riverford farm, and a range of our own goods from our farm kitchen. And our Totnes shop is our convenience store on the high street, where we've taken the best of our farm shop and tailored it for busy customers on-the-go.
