Psychologist Protection Society Trust

The Psychologists Protection Society is a not-for-profit membership organisation dedicated to providing tailored specialist products, support, and services to professionals in the talking and listening therapies. Our membership base includes counsellors, psychotherapists, play therapists, art therapists, music therapists, drama therapists, and similar related groups. We take pride in being run by therapists, for therapists, with a Board of Trustees comprising fellow therapists elected from our membership roll. This unique approach allows us to understand the specific needs of our members, providing the best possible support when it's needed most.

Our Services

We offer three levels of PPS membership, each providing a unique level of protection and benefits tailored to our members' needs. Our Members Professional Protection cover includes protection against claims for damages arising out of a member's professional activities, as well as Public Liability Insurance, which protects members against claims from third parties for damage to property or personal injury. Additionally, our members have access to a legal helpline, providing quick, friendly, and pragmatic advice from fully qualified, experienced lawyers.

Our Discretionary Trust Fund provides assistance with employment issues, support with contractual and practice issues, and counselling and mediation. We also offer tailored CPD events, designed to help our members avoid professional difficulties and maintain high standards of professional practice. Our online resource, The Professional Practitioner Portal, is dedicated to promoting high standards of professional practice by practitioners in the talking and listening therapy services.
