W.Marley, a company steeped in a rich history, has been a significant player in the industry for over four decades. Established in 1972 by William Marley with a humble JCB 3C and a tractor and trailer, the business has grown from strength to strength. Today, we are proud to offer a wide array of services, catering to the diverse needs of our clients.
Our journey began with local building contractors and civil engineering companies. As the world's demand for machinery grew, so did our business. We expanded our fleet to meet the evolving needs of the market, now boasting several new plant and tractor units. Our depot, Constantine Farm, is nestled in the heart of the Durham countryside, providing us with easy access to the major road networks in the area.
Our Services
As agricultural contractors, we have been involved in numerous projects nationwide, from road construction projects to large scale open cast mine reinstating. However, in response to the industry's demands and requirements, we have broadened our scope and are now involved in a wide variety of projects. Our large workforce consists of highly qualified personnel, holding certifications such as PTS, BESC, CSCS, CPCS, and Lantra NTPC. They have also undergone medical tests and asbestos awareness courses to ensure safe working practices.
Our extensive fleet includes over 12 HGV and LGV vehicles, over 40 tankers and trailers, over 30 tractors, over 20 excavators and dumpers, and a wide range of specialist equipment. This allows us to provide a comprehensive range of services, including:

Our Special Project - Kynren
We are proud to have played a significant role in making Bishop Auckland's new night show, Kynren, possible. This monumental project boasts an 8,000 seater arena, a 7-acre performance area, and is entirely staged by over a 1,000 volunteers. We provided a wide range of services, including site clearance, fencing, landscaping, plant hire, groundworks, and skip hire. The project demanded full-time commitment and dedication from all our staff, and we are proud to have completed it in good time and to satisfaction.
