The principal of Archer Solicitors is Brian Archer LLB LLM, a qualified solicitor since 1994 who specialises in Criminal Law.

Brian Archer has extensive experience in providing PACE advice in police stations and representing clients before the Magistrate and Crown Courts. He is an accredited member of the Law Society Children Order Panel and the Guardian Ad Litem Children Order Panel. In 2009, Brian obtained a Masters Degree in Law specialising in human rights & criminal justice at Queens University, Belfast. He is also an Advanced Advocate in the higher courts, having been accredited by The Law Society of Northern Ireland & the National Institution of Trial Advocates in America.

Throughout his legal career, Brian has taken a keen interest in the provision of Legal Aid. He has been a Member of the Lord Chancellor's Legal Aid Advisory Committee, Council Member of the Law Society, Chair of the Law Society's Criminal Law Committee and Access to Justice Committee, and Member of the Crown Court Rules Committee and the Court Services Criminal Issues Group. Brian has an ongoing interest in the development of services to those suffering with mental health problems within the Criminal Justice System. He is also the Chair of the Nexus Charity.
