Martin Kingdon Parquet flooring and floor sanding experts have been in operation since 1998, providing high-quality services to clients in Southport, Merseyside, and the surrounding areas. Initially, the business focused mostly on traditional solid hardwood flooring, but over the years, we have expanded our expertise to include all types of wood floors. Our team of craftsmen has over 40 years of experience in the wood flooring industry, ensuring that our clients receive exceptional workmanship.

In 2018, the business became a limited company, with Martin Kingdon taking a step back from the daily management of the company and Daniel Bialas becoming a fellow director and joint owner. Although Martin is now taking a reduced role, his legacy of providing superior quality wood flooring services continues to be the backbone of our company's mission.

Our services include the renovation of existing floors, sanding back and re-finishing, including pine floorboards. We also specialise in sympathetically restoring old floors, producing custom-made parquetry panels, and providing a range of special finishes, including staining, aging/distressing, and bleaching/whitening treatments. Our team can repair and replace damaged floors, including insurance claims for water or fire damage, and handle any size of job, from individual rooms to churches, hotels, and restaurants, schools (including painting sports lines).

Our team also repairs, restores, and sand/seals all types of wood floors, including floorboards. We use modern professional equipment, which is virtually dust-free, and offer a choice of finishes, from waxes and oils to floor lacquers, and from full gloss to matt surfaces.

We pride ourselves on our ability to handle custom requests and offer a range of decorative features, such as inlays and borders, to add a unique touch to any floor. Our restoration and refinishing services are unparalleled, and we can match any existing stain or finish. We use low VOC products wherever possible and are committed to sourcing our wood from sustainable forests.
