Windrush Nursery

At Windrush Nursery, we are committed to providing a safe, secure, and happy environment for all our children, allowing them to develop at their own pace - physically, intellectually, socially, and emotionally. As a small pre-school, we cater for up to 40 children between the ages of 18 months and 5 years, with a dedicated team of five members of staff who possess qualifications in Teaching, Nursery Nursing, and Registered Paediatric Nursing.

Our nursery is built on a foundation of love, care, and dedication, with a passion for educating and inspiring our young pupils. We take pride in our unique and flexible approach, which allows us to adapt to the individual needs of each child, ensuring that they receive the best possible start in life.

Our Services

At Windrush Nursery, we offer a comprehensive range of services designed to support the growth and development of our children. Our daily programme is carefully structured to include a mix of creative and educational activities, both indoors and outdoors, making the most of our beautiful and expansive garden. We also take regular trips to our local woods, where the children can experience the wonders of nature and the changing seasons.

Our team is dedicated to providing a varied and engaging programme, which includes activities such as flower arranging, hobby horses, and cooking fresh soup, as well as regular excursions to the lambing sheds, sheep shearing, and tractor rides. We believe that every child is unique and should be encouraged to explore their individual talents and interests, and we strive to create a sense of community and belonging among our pupils and their families.

We keep our families up to date with regular Tapestry photos and observations, ensuring that they are fully involved in their child's journey and are able to share in their achievements and milestones.
