Crockerton Furniture Centre

Welcome to our establishment, a hidden gem nestled in the charming Crockerton Shopping Centre, just off the A350. This shopping centre holds a special place in the local community, being one of the first out-of-town shopping centres in the country. Those of you who have lived here for a while might remember Normans Cash & Carry residing where we are now. Since their departure, we have filled the space with a plethora of furniture and accessories across two floors.

Our main showroom is located upstairs, boasting a wide array of home suites, chairs, beds, and bedroom furniture, among other items. For those who find stairs challenging, we have a chair lift available. However, kindly note that it has a weight limit of 18 stones. Despite the age of our building, we invite you to come and explore, as we have been told we are a bit of a hidden gem.

Our store is conveniently accompanied by a spacious, free car park right outside the shop. Other businesses on site include Gray's Carpets and Lakeside Garden Centre, which houses a coffee shop inside.

Our History and Team

Mark has spent his entire life in the furniture industry, while Janie has been with us since we opened, coming from a furniture manufacturing background. Both Mark and Janie's families started together at the local markets, and since then, they have gone on to run successful furniture businesses. Mark also manages our sister store, Ilminster Warehouse, which offers a similar range of products along with DIY and electrical products.

Having both stores allows us to buy quality stock at the right price, ensuring that we can provide you with the best and most honest prices in the market. We don't do weekly or monthly sales. Instead, we occasionally have clearance items which could be ex-display or stock items. Our main mission is to ensure that you, as our customer, have a satisfactory experience. Without you, we wouldn't be able to carry on.

Our Services

This website is not a selling site but rather a platform to showcase some of the items we have in our store and the companies we work with. When shopping for suites or furniture, it's crucial to have measurements of the room, the size of your old furniture, and the size of your doorways. We understand that houses are getting smaller, and furniture is getting bigger, which is why we can send a member of our staff to your home to measure and check before you place your order.

When purchasing furniture from us, we ask that you provide a deposit to secure your order. The balance is payable upon delivery. We offer free delivery within a 30-mile radius of the store, done by our own staff Monday through to Friday. If you require your products to be unpackaged and positioned in the room, we can do this along with removing the empty packaging. We also offer a disposal service for getting rid of your old furniture, but this may incur an extra charge.

We strive to ensure that all customers have a pleasant experience in our store. While shopping with us, we will not chase you around. We will give you the space to wander and do things at your own speed. We are here to help when you have questions, ensuring that you can make informed decisions about your furniture purchases.
