Established in 1860, the Yew Tree Inn is a traditional pub with a rich history of serving great food, real ales, and warm hospitality. Our History
With a history dating back to the 17th century, the Yew Tree Inn has been a coaching inn since 1860. The pub has been lovingly restored to maintain its original charm, while still providing modern comforts and amenities. We are proud to be home to the Chalvington and Ripe Cricket Club, which has been playing here since 1762.

We are proud to be the home of the Chalvington and Ripe Cricket Club, which has been playing here since 1762. Our cricket pitch and grounds are available for private hire for your special event or wedding. We also welcome visitors to watch a game or two, and enjoy a pint and a bite to eat in the pub.
Camping and Outdoor Activities
Our 7-acre grounds offer the perfect spot for camping and outdoor activities. We have a dedicated camping area with electric hook-ups, and our facilities include a toilet block and showers. We are also close to several local walking and cycling routes, including the South Downs Way and the Vanguard Way.
