Kihonkai Karate Academy has been delivering authentic, progressive Shotokan Karate since 1987. Our classes, located throughout Lanarkshire, are designed to provide students of all ages and skill levels with the best tuition from fully qualified instructors. As a founding member of KWF Scotland, the official organisation in Scotland of the Karatenomichi World Federation, our club aims to teach traditional Budo Karate.

Our goal is to help students strive towards perfecting their techniques and achieving their full potential.
Our Services
At Kihonkai Karate Academy, we offer a range of classes and training programs for students of all ages. From our Little Ninjas Karate classes for children aged 5-7, to our Children's Karate classes for those aged 7-11, and our Adult Karate classes for those 16 and above, we have a program to suit everyone's needs.
Our classes are designed to be fun and engaging, while also providing students with a comprehensive education in the art of karate. We believe that karate is not just a physical activity, but also a way of life, and we strive to instill in our students the values of discipline, respect, and self-control.
Our Instructors
Our instructors are fully qualified and experienced in teaching karate to students of all ages and skill levels. Our founder and chief instructor, Stevie Mason, has been awarded the prestigious Saiko Shihan (Supreme Master) title by the Karate World Federation Japan, and is widely recognized as one of the leading experts in Shotokan Karate.
