At Medicare, we pride ourselves on being a local pharmacy meeting local needs throughout the whole of Huddersfield and the wider local area. Our family-run business was established in 1987 by Managing Director Afzal Khan and his brother, Director Asghar Khan - both qualified pharmacists. From the outset, their aim was to provide a local pharmacy service delivering healthcare to the community, ensuring that all our customers' needs were met.
We have grown to become a successful and reputable pharmacy group with seven chemists located in the Huddersfield area - Bradley, Salendine, Marsh, Lockwood, Honley, and two in Holmfirth - Elmwood Health Centre and Riverside. We employ over 40 staff who are dedicated to providing exceptional customer service. Our staff are always brisk and efficient, yet courteous and discreet, ensuring that our customers feel welcome and supported.

We understand the importance of customer service, and to ensure we remain on track, we utilise a mystery shopper scheme and undertake an annual customer satisfaction survey, on which we score consistently highly.
