Our History

Established in 1947, Schofield Guest House is a family-run business that has been welcoming guests to the heart of Bridlington for over 70 years. After being taken over by Pauline and Peter Schofield in 2016, we have worked tirelessly to restore and modernize this beautiful Victorian property, ensuring that every guest has an unforgettable experience.

Our Services

As a pet-loving family, we understand the importance of providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere for both two-legged and four-legged friends alike. Our luxurious en-suite rooms are tastefully decorated with a seaside theme and feature Smart TVs, Wi-Fi, hand wash, fresh towels, tea and coffee, water, and biscuits. From our budget-friendly Single Room to our spacious Family En-Suite, we have the perfect accommodation to suit your needs.

Our Facilities

In addition to our beautifully crafted rooms, we offer a variety of facilities to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible. Our Breakfast Hamper is available for a small fee of 3.50 per person, and our Breakfast Room is equipped with a range of refreshments and snacks. We also have a private car parking facility, available for a daily charge of 7 per vehicle. For our furry friends, we offer a pet-friendly service, with a small charge of 5 per night, with all proceeds donated to a local pet-friendly charity.

Pet Friendly Facilities

As a pet-loving family, we understand the stress of leaving your furry friend behind. We welcome well-behaved dogs, providing a comfortable and welcoming environment for both you and your pet. Our Pet Friendly facilities include a map of dog-friendly walks, cafes, and bars, as well as a hot sausage with your breakfast hamper. We are proud to say that we have always had responsible owners and well-behaved dogs stay with us, allowing us to continue welcoming dogs to the Schofield.

Our Team

As a family-run business, we pride ourselves on our warm and welcoming atmosphere. Pauline, our owner, is an active member of the Bridlington Tourist Association and the Priory Church, while Peter is an active member of the local Community Central Action Group. Our children are involved in various community events and activities, and we are proud to be members of the Heart Foundation and Priory Girl Guides.

Our Community

As a strong believer in giving back to the community, we support various local charities and events, including the Bridlington Rugby Club and the RSPCA. In 2023, we donated 220 to the local RSPCA Centre, receiving a gracious letter and a money box for the reception desk. We are committed to supporting our local community and look forward to welcoming you to our charming guest house.
