Westgate Caravan Park Ltd is a 4 Star Standard holiday park that offers onsite privately owned holiday homes from the 1st of March until the 3rd of January. Our friendly reception staff are available to assist you from 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday, and from 10.30am to 5pm on Sundays, with a lunch break from 12.30 to 1.30. Our park is located just a stone's throw away from Morecambe promenade, and we have bus stops outside our gates that can take you to Morecambe, Bare, and Lancaster.
Our onsite facilities include a shop that stocks newspapers, foodstuffs, and is licensed for alcohol, a launderette, and a playpark for children under 12. From March to October, we have seasonal facilities available, including four fully equipped holiday homes for hire. Our holiday homes can accommodate up to four people, with one main bedroom and one twin bedroom. Each home has its own parking space and is equipped with all the necessary amenities, including bedding and electric and gas. We do allow pets in certain holiday homes, but they must be kept on a lead at all times and exercised off the park.
In addition to our holiday homes for hire, we also have a touring area for touring caravans and motorhomes. Our touring area has 16 hard standing pitches surrounded by grass, with electric hook-up and water available nearby. Booking in advance is advisable, especially during Easter and Bank Holidays.
Morecambe is a delightful holiday resort that is well known for its beautiful scenic views, sea birds, and sandy beaches. The town has plenty of attractions to offer, including a cinema, bingo, arcades, and a trampoline center called 'Jump Rush'. The lovely promenade and Stone Jetty are perfect for a leisurely walk, and Morecambe Bay is ideal for sailing and windsurfing. Sea and freshwater angling are also popular activities in the area.
During the summer season, Morecambe hosts various entertainments, with the Vintage by the Sea festival in September being a highlight. Happy Mount Park is another popular attraction, with its gardens, children's adventure area, splash pool, and cafe. The Midland Hotel and the famous Eric Morecambe statue are also must-see landmarks in the town.
Looking ahead to 2026, Morecambe is set to become the home of Eden Project Morecambe, an exciting project delivered by the team behind the first Eden project in Cornwall. Heysham Village, with its heritage center, cafes, and historic St Peters Church, is also worth a visit. The historic city of Lancaster is easily accessible from Morecambe and is home to a castle, museums, and a bustling shopping center.
