Steves Self Drive

Steves Self Drive has been serving customers since 1982, initially specialising in commercial vehicle hire before expanding to cars in 1989. As part of the United Rental Group, we combine independent operation with access to industry best practices. Our modern fleet includes vehicles from Citroen, Ford, Kia, Mercedes, Toyota, and Volkswagen, reflecting our commitment to quality and variety. We prioritise environmental responsibility, ensuring all vehicles meet ULEZ and clean air zone standards while maintaining competitive pricing. Our premises in Southend-on-Sea house a comprehensive range of cars, vans, minibuses, and trucks tailored to diverse customer needs. With decades of experience, we guarantee air-conditioned comfort across most commercial vehicles, ensuring both driver convenience and operational efficiency.

Our expertise extends to serving local areas across Essex, including Basildon, Chelmsford, Leigh on Sea, and Southend-on-Sea. We maintain transparency in operations, providing upfront information about tunnel charges and vehicle compliance. As an established business with purpose-built facilities since 2000, we combine reliability with adaptability to meet evolving customer requirements. Our commitment to excellence is demonstrated through our extensive vehicle range, competitive pricing structure, and ongoing investment in the latest low-emission models.
