At Maria's Traditional Upholstery Limited, we take pride in being a centre of excellence for upholstery education and training. Established in 2010, our award-winning workshop in Meppershall, Bedfordshire, has become a hub for individuals looking to develop their skills in modern and traditional upholstery.
Our Services
We cater to students of all abilities, from beginners to those more accomplished, offering a range of courses and services designed to meet individual needs. Our In-house Taster courses, Structured 2, 3, and 5-day courses, and 'Pay as You Upholster' Leisure classes provide a comprehensive learning experience. We also offer full-day and half-day sessions, ensuring flexibility for our students.
In 2024, we are excited to introduce our new range of all-inclusive, inexpensive 'mini-courses' designed to teach specific upholstery skills and techniques. These courses, apart from Leisure Classes, are all-inclusive, meaning we supply furniture frames, upholstery materials, tools, equipment, and a selection of fabrics, along with expert tuition.
Accredited Courses
As an Approved Training Centre by the Association of Master Upholsterers & Soft Furnishers (AMUSF), we are proud to deliver their Accredited Courses. These courses are designed to take students through three stages, culminating in the award of an AMUSF Diploma in upholstery. Each stage is a qualification in its own right, certificated separately, and has a duration of 210 hours to be completed within a 12-month period.
