At Mickey Oates Motorcycles, our story began in 1961 when our founder, Mickey Oates, opened our doors in Glasgow. Over the years, we've evolved to become one of the leading motorcycle dealerships in the UK. Our passion for motorcycling has always driven us to provide the best products and service to our customers.

Our History

We've come a long way since our humble beginnings. In 1982, our premises moved to York Street, where Jim Ferguson took over the reins. At that time, we mainly dealt with used bikes and scooters. As our passion for motorcycling grew, we naturally expanded our off-road side of the business, eventually holding franchises for Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, Maico & Cagiva. We relocated to our current premises at North Canalbank Street in 1989, allowing us to add the Suzuki road bike franchise and Vespa scooters to our portfolio. We've continued to expand our range to include Quadzilla Quads and Montesa Trials bikes, cementing our position as a leading motorcycle dealership.
