Creating timeless pieces, one iron piece at a time
Siddington Smithy is a truly unique old blacksmiths forge, nestled in the picturesque heart of Cheshire. Established for many years, the forge has served the local community with its exceptional smithing skills and craftsmanship. When the current proprietor, Pete, took over the premises in 2000, he saw the potential to transform it into a showcase for his work and a wonderful family home.
Originally qualifying as a commercial property surveyor, Pete found his true passion in ironwork. For over a decade, he had been concentrating on made-to-order interior furniture, and the move to Siddington Smithy allowed him to continue this work while also serving the local farming community. The forge has since produced many interesting works for Capesthorne Hall, an 18th-century Jacobean-style house in East Cheshire, including an impressive 19ft high iron gazebo by the lakeside.
As the Smithy premises have been renovated and updated, Pete has expanded his offerings to include high-quality wrought iron curtain poles and rails, furniture, and accessories, both for indoor and outdoor use. Each product is individually handcrafted to meet your exact requirements, ensuring a unique and personal touch to every piece.
