Established in 1931, our independently owned practice is located in the heart of the town centre and offers a comprehensive range of optical services. Our Services
Our optical services include sight tests, the latest in lens technology, an extensive range of frames, contact lenses, and eye health checks. We understand the importance of finding the perfect frames to suit your face shape, style, and preferences. That's why we offer a vast selection of glasses to choose from in our showroom. Even if you've had your eye test done elsewhere, you're more than welcome to choose your frames with us. We can also offer a full repair service and extend this service to all glasses wearers, not just those who bought their glasses from us.

Our Story
Bell Brothers Opticians has a rich history, dating back to 1750 when it started as Bell Brothers Jewellers. In 1931, the business moved to its former premises on Priory Place and separated from the jewellery arm of the business. Today, we are proud to be owned and managed by Colyn Firth and Joe Sham, who are both fully trained and qualified optometrists and dispensing opticians.
Our team is comprised of experienced and knowledgeable staff, including Antony Rigby, our General Manager, who is a qualified Dispensing Opticians with a great eye for knowing which frames suit you best. We also have a team of optical assistants, optometrists, and a bespoke lens technician who work together to provide exceptional eye care and advice.

We have three conveniently located branches in Doncaster, Thorne, and Rossington, making it easy for you to access our services. Our branches are well-equipped and staffed by friendly and experienced teams who are dedicated to making you feel welcome and providing exceptional eye care.
