Our Mission

Women's Aid Dumfries is a local charity supporting women and children experiencing domestic abuse. We believe everyone has the right to live a life free from abuse and harm. Our dedicated team offers a range of services to empower survivors and guide them towards safety and independence.

Who Can We Help?

Our services are available to women and their children affected by domestic abuse, regardless of their circumstances. You don't need to have children or make an appointment to receive support.

1. Crisis Support & Advocacy

• 24/7 emergency hotline for immediate assistance and emotional support.
• Individual support and advocacy to navigate legal and social systems.

2. Safe Accommodation

• Short-term accommodation and support to ensure safety and stability.

3. Housing Support

• Guidance on accessing long-term housing solutions.

4. Counselling & Outreach Support

• Individual and group counselling to address trauma, build resilience, and develop coping mechanisms.
• Home visits to provide support and practical assistance.

5. Empowerment & Support

• Educational workshops and support groups for survivors.
• Advocacy to raise awareness and combat stigma.
